Google is poised to stream its annual hardware event which this year serves as the stage for the long-awaited, but hardly secret, arrival of the company’s Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and debut smartwatch the Pixel Watch.
We’ve embedded the stream further below on this page, with things scheduled to kick off at 10am ET (3pm BST, 4pm CEST) today (6 October 2022), meaning it couldn’t be easier to tune in.
You can also watch it here on Google’s official website.
With the Pixel 6 arriving around the same time last year, it’s no surprise that Google will announce the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro this time around. Better still, it will definitely unveil full details on the Pixel Watch, the smartwatch the company surely hopes will be a true Apple Watch alternative that can tempt people into sticking with Android. There’s also talk of an update on the Pixel Tablet the company has already teased.
Google might even have a surprise or two up its sleeve – the only way to find out is to tune in and see. From the marketing materials it’s obvious it wants to showcase how the Pixel 7, Pixel Watch, and Pixel Buds Pro (which are already out and we reviewed here) work together, much in the same way Apple hooks customers with the combination of iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods.
Exciting hardware and lots of potential then, but Google will likely also talk about software too, with Android 13 set to be showcased fully on Pixel 7, and a new version of Wear OS that will integrate Fitbit features.
